Against All Will

Against All Will can play really hard and heavy at times but then subtle in some songs I can’t get enough of “Tomorrow and Today” every song seems to conjure up different sounds from metal, industrial to alternative. There lyrics are to the point and they take us on a journey that we can relate to in our own lives, the ups and downs in relationships.

The perfect musical collaboration of Against All Will is formed by songwriter Jimmy Allen formerly of Puddle of Mudd, powered by the vocals of Jeff Current, and a heavy hitting rhythm section of former Soulfly bassist Cello Dias and Dead Kennedys drummer Steve Wilson.

Hello Against All Will: “Welcome to Global Entertainment Mag.”

I hear NAMM is the place to pick up potential new sponsors and opportunities. I noticed Against All Will has a ton of endorsements, how did the band find these sponsors?

A: We only use the stuff we love, we ask the companies if they wanna support us using their gear.

How was the turnout of fans when you headlined at the Club Good Hurt on January 15th and Slidebar on January 16th and played with Gemini Syndrome?

A: It was pretty good turnout for Namm weekend.

Curious is there any video coverage from your previous concerts? Many bands keep video diaries of their live shows and tours so they can transfer them onto a DVD later.

A: Only the ones fans make. There will be a pro-filmed live DVD in the works sometime.

I dig your new video “The Drug I Need” listening to it in surround sound is sweet the music has that live concert feeling to it, and the graphical effects are nice who helps the band to produce their music videos?

A: Jimmy came up with the idea and Mizzy our first lead singer produced and filmed The Drug I Need with us. He is a very talented guy.

Do you have any tours planned for 2011?

A: Nothing concrete yet, but will be playing some cool shows.

What areas or countries are Against All Will’s fan base very strong currently?

A: NY, California, Spokane WA

When it comes to Social Networking sites do you favor ReverbNation over MySpace or Facebook?

A: We use them all, but we have been diggin facebook lately.

Against All Will has a debut Album out now called “A Rhyme & Reason” when is the band anticipating on coming out with their full length Album?

A: When we feel we have the best songs to complete the next CD. We are still on a roll with A Rhyme & Reason.

Which songs from your debut Album are hitting the charts in radio currently? A: "The Drug I Need"

I can’t get enough of “Tomorrow and Today” it has that dreamy haunting feel to it in the guitar sounds and I can relate to it in some things I have experienced in my life. All the seven songs have that magic of capturing the listener on this journey. So tell me who is the genius writing the lyrics for Against All Will?

A: Jimmy wrote Tomorrow & Today in a Hotel room in Hollywood while watching the Iraq war on the news. Its a song for our troops. Jimmy starts with a idea then it goes through Jeff, then the band puts there stamp on it.

Does the band have any one helping them master their songs?

A: Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood. They have done Korn, Foo Fighters, Guns & Roses plus many more great bands.

What challenges is Against All Will faced with in today’s current music industry to stay competitive, such as any new trends?

A: It is tough out there now, we just keep writing good songs and staying true to our fans and ourselves.

I think one of the trends and the success of the band is touring and selling merchandise, when fans attend concerts today they want to take home something personal like a CD or T Shirt Officially signed by the band or a limited edition of the bands Album on vinyl so they can show it off.

Does the band allow the fans to take pictures of them at their shows?

A: Yes.. it’s so much fun meeting our fans and hanging with them.

What short or long term goals do Against All Will hope to achieve in the next 3 to five years?

A: More songs, more shows, and world domination.

With your experience in the industry and background what advice can you offer to younger musicians entering this competitive business wanting to form their bands for the first time?

A: Do it for the love of music, not for the love of money. Stay true to yourself and your fans.

Before we bring our interview to a close do you have anything to say to your fans?

A: Thank you for spreading the gospel of Against All Will. Your support and love has got us through these tough times. We love you!
